Baby Girl is 2!

We celebrated Baby Girl's 2nd birthday on Thursday! She was so cute, knowing that she was going to have a party and that there would be cake and presents. She got a lot of toys that make noise, but that's okay, because they aren't at all annoying. :) She knows exactly how old she is, even though it doesn't mean much to her right now.

To me, it means that she's no longer a "baby". She'll always be my baby, but she's growing up so fast. (As are The Big Ones.) She can speak in some sentences and will ask you if you're okay if she knows you got hurt. She'll tell you (sometimes) if she has to go potty, but we usually think she's just kidding. (She's not.) She uses her manners. She likes to snuggle and give hugs and kisses. She likes to play with her baby dolls and feed them and wrap them in her blankets.

She likes to throw temper tantrums and scream and kick until she gets her way. She likes to try and bite you sometimes if she isn't getting what she wants. She runs away if you're trying to get her dressed and she doesn't want to.

She's a kid.

And like her older siblings, she will try our patience. But also, like her siblings, we will forgive and move on. We will discipline and teach her right from wrong. We will pray she makes the right choices, and not just when she's older, but right now.

We thank God for them everyday. We hope you do that with your loved ones as well. We can't wait to see how they grow in 2009. Fasten your seat belts...it's sure to be an interesting ride. :)

Oh she is growing up so fast! She is so adorable and I can still picture her when you first got her - what a difference 2 years makes. I pray that you and her are feeling better! Anita
